If you’re looking for books or other items that are not available at the Monroe Community Library, we can request them for you through the statewide Interlibrary loan (ILL) system.
We place ILL requests through the Bangor Public Library and the Balsam Library Consortium. There are no costs to our patrons for this service. Requested items may come from libraries across the state of Maine or, in rare instances, from out of state.
The borrowing period of Interlibrary loan items may vary, according to the policies of the sending library. Patrons are responsible for any overdue charges, and for lost items, if applicable.
To request items through Interlibrary loan, stop in or email your request(s) to: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Did you know? All Maine residents are eligible for free library cards at both the Bangor Public Library and the Maine State Library. If you travel to Bangor or Augusta on a regular basis, using those libraries may be a convenient resource.
