If you’re looking for books or other items that are not available at the Monroe Community Library, we may be able to borrow them for you through the statewide Interlibrary loan system.
We make requests for Interlibrary loans through the Bangor Public Library and the Balsam Library Consortium. There are no costs to Library patrons for this service. Requested items may come from libraries across the state of Maine or, in rare instances, from out of state.
The borrowing period of Interlibrary loan items may vary, according to the policies of the sending library. Patrons are responsible for any overdue charges, if applicable.
To request items through Interlibrary loan, email your request(s) to: monroecommunitylibrary@gmail.com.
Did you know? All Maine residents are eligible for free library cards at both the Bangor Public Library and the Maine State Library. If you travel to Bangor or Augusta on a regular basis, using those libraries may be a convenient resource.
